Day ride to lesser Caucasus – Algeti National Park
For the day ride in the Lesser Caucasus, we will go to the National Park of Algeti, which is located only one hour away from the capital of Georgia - Tbilisi.
The day ride is perfect for the people who are already in Tbilisi and want to spend the day outside the capital, in nature.
We will organize for you the car with an English/German speaking driver, as well as a local horse guide and a calm horse with a comfortable saddle.
Brief information about the National Park:
The Algeti National Park is located 60 kilometres west of Tbilisi and was founded in 1965 as the easternmost protected area of the Nordmann Firs.
The park is located between 1,100 - 1,950 meters above sea level and covers the territory of 6,822 hectares. The park owes its name to the Algeti River, which runs through the national park.
The park is known for its plant diversity and is home to over 1,600 species, of which 156 are medicinal plants.
Algeti National Park also has a rich wildlife. Besides brown bears and wolves, there are deer, wild boars, as well as foxes and hares.
