Day trip to Signagi and Bodbe

On this day trip to Signagi and Bodbe and you will explore two important cultural monuments of eastern Georgia: Nunnery and place of pilgrimage in Bodbe, as well “city of love” Signagi.

Itinerary:

Day trip to Signagi and Bodbe starts at your hotel.
We will pick you up at around 9 o’clock and after just 2 hours of driving, we will reach our first destination.  

Part 1: - Nunnery in Bodbe

Bodbe nunnery and monastery dedicated to St. Nino was built in 9^th century, but has been repaired and restored many times.
The nunnery of Bodbe has a very significant importance in Georgia, because it’s the burial place of St. Nino, female Person, who brought Christianity in Georgia, back in 4^th century.

After visiting Bodbe Monastery we will drive to Signagi

Part 2: - Signagi

The picturesque city of Sighnaghi is one of Kakheti’s main attractions. Despite the fact that the city was built in 18^th century, it is ideal as a perfect balance element of Georgian national identity, and the elements in the style of Southern Italian classicism.
Signagi is known for its charm, gorgeous views, beauty and romance. Georgians call it ‘the city of love’. Winding streets with overhanging balconies, vine covered courtyards, as well as excellent restaurants and hotels, make Signagi the real treasure.

Here you will feel the scent of history, enjoy the historical/ religious centres, folk music, folk art and handicrafts and authentic Georgian carpets.
Our day trip to Signagi and Bodbe lasts 7 to 8 hours and at about 5 pm you will be back in Tbilisi
