Itinerary:
City tour starts, at the Metekhi Church with an excellent view over old Tbilisi. After descending to Europe Square, you will cross Metekhi bridge and get to the famous sulfur Baths district (Abanotubani).
We will stroll through the Maidan area full of narrow streets with cozy cafés, old bakeries, wine tasting bars, souvenir shops, and breathe in the living past of the city. Visit Sioni Cathedral, named after Mt. Zion in Jerusalem, as well as the oldest Church of Tbilisi - Basilica Anchiskhati.
Later we will cross the Bridge of Peace leading to Rike Park and head to the clock tower of famous Rezo Gabriadze Theatre. Later walk up Baratashvili Street to Freedom Square, formerly Lenin Square. Here we are well – positioned to begin exploring Tbilisi’s center, which contains its most important contemporary political and cultural institutions.
At the end of the city tour in Tbilisi our guide will bring you back to your hotel, or you can explore underground of the capital and drive with the Metro to your accommodation.
